So long and thanks...

for all the fish? Well, maybe not... but you guys are amazing!!!!!

My last episode had almost 4000 downloads. WOW! My little knitting podcast. You guys make me want to cry. I will not be doing any more knitting shows. I recently got a new job and with my other podcast and some health problems and life in general, this had to go.

Please accept my humble thanks for all of your kind emails and thoughts and well-wishes. If you ever want to know what I'm up to (pretty boring stuff, I assure you), you can check me out on my blog.

Love to you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And remember - the bad news is, time flies...

Episode 5: The Poetry of Knitting

In this episode I interview Jennifer of the Crafty Lilly blog. She talks about why she is not participating in the Olympics and cites Margene as her inspiration for "process knitting" her way through the events. We discuss her beautiful beaded stitch markers (she also has jewelry for sale there!) and, of course I ask her to read her award winning poem (that's at the Stream of Consciousness Blog by Laura)! Thanks, Jennifer!

We listen to the lovely voice of Wren Ross as she sings Baa Baa Black Sheep. Don't forget to leave a comment or send an email and be entered in a drawing to win a CD from Wren!

My progress for my team in the Olympics is coming along slowly - but if you'd like to see someone cruising on theirs - take a look at B's! Oh my - she finished!!

I also talk a little bit about the history of knitting. Here's the pattern for the socks I'm doing - from 1918!

Special Edition: Knitting Olympics

Welcome to this Special Edition of About Time! Listen as I interview Stephanie Pearl-McPhee (aka Yarn Harlot) and discuss the Knitting Olympics and how I got sucked in like all the rest of you!!! Okay, I realize some of you are just watching, but we're all in this together!

Join my Team or check the Team Blog for updates. You can see more details about my project on my blog. Thanks to Steve for short notice edits and a great sound!!

UPDATE: A couple of people complained that when they downloaded from iTunes they got an old episode. Several people have listened and sent comments so I'm not sure what the trouble is. HOWEVER, I have re-uploaded the mp3 and .rss file and hope that all problems are fixed. Please email me with further trouble. :O)
